Letter to the editor: Sign to let voters decide on BOCC makeup

After 22 years of living, voting, and paying taxes in Douglas County, I’ve seen our community grow rapidly, but our leadership structure hasn't kept up. That’s why I’m all in on the “3 to 5 Douglas County” petition to let voters decide if we should expand our Board of County Commissioners from three members to five. I didn't just sign the petition — I became a volunteer circulator myself!

To put this on the November ballot and let Douglas County voters decide, we need 15,000 verified signatures by July 15. With 30 days to go as of the time of this writing, we already have thousands of signatures — and still need more!
